My friend Jill's son Ashton just celebrated his birthday recently. He turned twelve and his "party" was all things manly, I think they went 4-wheeling, hiking, fishing, and I don't know what all else! I did a cake to go with the fishing portion of the guy-fest, as if it'd just been reeled in and laid on the dock. Hope your birthday was awesome, Ashton!

A ONEderful First Birthday
My friend Leslie's son Kolton recently celebrated his first birthday. He is SOOOO cute! (Sorry for the aside. that has nothing to do with his cake, but I love him!!) She had me do a cake to match his party decor... stars, polka dots, cute kid-like writing, and lots of primary colors. Hope it was great! The birthdays will just keep on flying by, unfortunately.
Thing 1 and Thing 2 say Happy Birthday to YOU!
My friend Lisa has handsome twin boys who recently turned 4. She wanted to do a Dr. Seuss' Thing 1 and Thing 2 theme. What a cute idea!! I did the sides in red and white stripes like the Cat in the Hat's hat. Hope you guys had a blast!!

Quite the compilation
A few weeks back I did a cake for Ava's 6th birthday. The theme was a Justin Bieber-ish (minus Justin Bieber himself), talent show type of thing. Her mom said Ava wanted something with purple, heart-shaped peace signs, zebra stripes, piano keys, and music notes. I thought, "How in the world am I ever going to put all of that onto a cake and make it look like it actually BELONGS together??". I think it came together nicely after all!

Baptism Cake
Recently I did a cake to celebrate my friend Jenny's son's baptism. She asked for his initials and a pretty cross, with the colors blue and brown. Simple and pretty!
